About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Test Engineer to join our growing QA team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive test strategies to ensure high-quality software delivery. You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to drive quality across the software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and develop test plans, test cases, and test scripts for functional, regression, performance, and integration testing.
• Execute manual and automated test cases across web, mobile, and API platforms.
• Identify, log, and track bugs using tools such as JIRA or similar.
• Develop and maintain automated test suites using tools like Selenium, Cypress, Postman, JMeter, etc.
• Perform root cause analysis and work with cross-functional teams to drive resolution.
• Ensure continuous testing and CI/CD integration using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
• Collaborate with development teams in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Lead or mentor junior QA engineers in test strategies, automation, and best practices.
• Contribute to and maintain QA documentation, metrics, and dashboards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance and testing.
• Strong experience in manual testing and test case design.
• Proficiency in at least one test automation framework (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
• Experience with API testing tools like Postman, REST Assured, or similar.
• Good knowledge of SQL and database testing.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills.
• Strong understanding of software QA principles and methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):
• Experience with performance/load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling).
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• ISTQB Certification or similar.
• Experience testing SaaS, mobile apps, or large-scale distributed systems.
